Gifted Family

Rissa catches sight of Brandon drinking and walks over and takes it out of his hands, glaring at him. "Aren't you a bit young to be drinking? And shouldn't you at least be keeping these kids somewhat out of trouble! Even if you all do have outrageous powers I'm not even sure I saw!"

"Oooh I wana see that toy gun" Scott says. He aims his hand at the toy gun and it flys over to him. "Cooool. Hey Jake, where did you get this?" Scott pretends to shoot it and pulls the trigger and a toy gun noise goes off. "He he. Pretty cool. You know, I never knew that people your age played with these things, Jake."

"Play? Yeah right! It's for pranks like this!" Jake slowly came around to sitting up. "I don't really remember where I got it but I think I got a few more so you can have that one."

Brandon grumbled "Hey give that back! I can't control these monsters any better then mom and dad could! Why do you think they left princess?" Brandon grabbed the beer aggressively and chugged the rest, "So what are you going to do about the drinking? Or the monsters? You can't do any better sweetheart!" Brandon said.

Rissa looks at Brandon and shakes her head. "Your drunk." she says, grabbing the beer bottle, and hitting Brandon over the head with it, not really hard enough to hurt him but enough to break the bottle and spill beer over his head. "No more beer." she says, walking downstairs toward the beer in the fridge.

"Cool thanks!" Scott said as he looked at the toy gun some more.

Brandon's ears laid flat against his head as he was hit, "Hey were the heck do you think you're going?" Brandon ran after Rissa and jumpped over the stairs railing. He dashed to the kitchen and stepped in front of the fridge just cutting her off. "You don't have the right to go through this fridge!"

Jake stood up and doubled over laughing, "God this house is way to funny!" He fell in to a somersault and sat down again laughing, "Who knows maybe someday you can help us Scott."

Rissa pulls a knife off the wall. "I have every right to go into that fridge. And you better move out of my way." she says, pulling out a phone as well.

Scott put away the toy gun into his pocket and went off downstairs. Bored out of his mind, he jumped onto the couch and turned on the tv.

"Let's see, if I move the beer gets taken away. If I stay you get charged with assault. I didn't do anything to you so you pulling a knife on me? I don't think you could win in court plus...JAKE GET DOWN HERE! I'm about to have a witness." Brandon said eying the knife "What's the phone for anyways? Gonna call the cops on me in my house? Your world is upside down princess."

Jake stood up again and walked downstairs, "From one shoe to the next!" He smiled. He jumpped onto the counter and took a banana from the bowl next to him.

"Its not for the cops." Rissa grins, "It's to call your parents."

Scott overheard Rissa and Brandon talking. "I don't think that's nessesary." He said as he pointed his hand at Rissa's phone. The phone flew towards Scott. "Hmm. Nice phone." He said, looking at it.

"Nice one Scotty!" Jake called from the counter. He peeled down the banana skinand muttered, "It's no use calling them anyways."

Brandon gave a smile toward the living room, "That's true Jake." He turned around and opened the fridge and grabbed a beer. He pressed his back to the fridge and opened the beer. "Bottoms up!"

"Oh? And why is it no use to call them?" Rissa says, taking the house phone.

"It's just no use. Go ahead and call them." Scott said. He sent the cell phone he took before back over towards Rissa.

Jake took a bit of his banana and looked at Brandon. His mouth in a thin line and eyes reflecting light more then normal.

"They left us!" Brandon said, stepping away from the fridge and over to the island counter. "They told you they were going on a business trip didn't they?" He didn't wait for an answer. He sat down on a bar stool and took a deep drink, "They've gone on business trips and never paid someone to come! They've gone for good! They aren't going to come back! They'll send plenty of money to you if you stay and send some to the credit card they left right here." He flipped out a card from his back pocket. "See that's why you're here! That's way they've gone!" Brandon placed his beer on the island and walked over to Jake and sat next to him. "So what's it gonna be? Stay here in the hell house and try to help us or go home?" His ears perked up as Jake's head fell to his shoulder. Brandon but his arm around Jake's shoulder and looked at Rissa.

Rissa rolls her eyes, "Well I'm still here aren't I. I think if I was going to leave I would have left after Nick's stunt with the swords. And I don't believe your parents have left your permenently. Anyway. Your still forbidden from beer. Drink pop."

"Good luck with trying to separate Brandon from his beer. " Scott said as he turned on the TV and flipped through channels. "Hey, rated R. cool."

Brandon glared toward the living room "You turn off that TV or I'll brake it!" Brandon turned back to Rissa, "Trust me our parents have left. They went on a half year business trip before and they didn't have anyone help us." Brandon paused and looked at Jake, "Can't you tell they've left?" He placed his hand under Jake's chin and lifted his head showing a growing wet spot. He placed Jake's head back and said, "This guy is crying! The last time he cried was....When he was five! They've gone and we know it."

Rissa sighs, "If they've gone I'll take care of you and if they haven't gone they'll be back. Now you are forbidden from beer. R movies are fine... All alcohol is banned.... Otherwise for now your free to go about life as usual," she says, walking over to Jake and sitting next to him not saying anything yet.

"Sweet! I get to watch the movie!" Scott says as he turns the volume up and gets into a very relaxed looking position to enjoy the movie. "Hmm... zombie slaughter 3: Extreme blood. Sounds cool!"

"No Scott can not watch that! Damn it Scott turn that off! I'm older then Rissa and I really will brake that TV!" Brandon sighed and placed his hand on Jake's head. "I can't believe you would let an eleven year old watch an R movie but not let me drink beer." Brandon slid off the counter and grabbed his beer from the island. He sat up by Jake again and chugged the rest of the beer, "There I'm done now. It's not like I'm addicted." He muttered.
